motodrome offer for sale this 1984 example of Ford’s iconic Capri 2.8 Injection, superbly finished in Metallic Caspian Blue over Strato Silver, with the correct shark grey Recaro sports trim.
This one has the usual high injection specification including the later 5-speed gearbox, power steering, Recaro sports trim, pepperpot alloy wheels, and sunroof (which functions correctly in both slide and tilt modes).
In seemingly original specification with the exception of a Capri Club International sports exhaust system (which sounds great) and silicone underbonnet hoses.
In 2022, it underwent a full glass-out repaint in the original colour scheme, and had new front wings and bumpers fitted. Further subsequent work 2022-25 included:
New front discs and pads.
New front brake calipers.
Rear brakes stripped and cleaned.
New rear leaf springs
Both rear lamps replaced with old stock units.
Fuse box removed cleaned and replaced.
Old Cobra alarm system removed.
All wiring checked and corrected where required.
New fuel tank, level sender, Bosch fuel pump and actuator.
Fuel lines cleaned and new fuel filter fitted.
Refurbished K-jet fuel metering unit fitted.
New air filter.
Tappets adjusted.
Ignition timing reset.
Cylinder compression test carried out, all ok.
Engine oil and filter change.
New water temperature sender.
Spark plugs renewed.
Gearbox oil drained and renewed
Odometer reading 86000 miles,
