motodrome are pleased to offer this superbly restored and uprated 1996 Land Rover Defender 110 300TDi County Station Wagon 11 seater.
All it’s VIN and engine numbers are visible, in the right places (bulkhead, underbonnet plate, chassis offside front dumbiron, engine block) and matching the V5, making this example eminently US exportable.
It’s one of the finest Defender restorations I’ve seen. The external spec includes:
- Full, high quality repaint in Tahiti Blue metallic with gloss black roof and bonnet
- Panoramic windows
- KBX front grille, light surrounds, and wing vents, all in gloss black
- 18in gloss black Sawtooth alloys shod with a matching set of 5 BF Goodrich tyres
- MudStuff mud deflectors
- LED lights (except headlights, which are uprated but not LED)
- Gloss black chequerplate to wingtops.
Inside, it’s been further enhanced with:
- Black alcantara headlining, dashtop, door cards
- Billet aluminium door furniture and gearknobs
- A pair of black leather bucket seats for the driver and front passenger, with extended seat runners
- Exmoor trim high-back rear seats, trimmed in black leather
- Twin 3-man bench seats in the load area, also trimmed in black leather
- Centre cubby box
- Black deep-pile carpeting throughout
- Black door threshers
- Kenwood stereo with USB and Bluetooth
Whilst it retains it’s original factory immobiliser, it’s also been fitted with a better aftermarket alarm/immobiliser system, linked to central locking.
This one is the product of a seven-year body-off restoration by J C Motor Services of High Peak. The original chassis was blasted, fitted with a new rear crossmember, then two-pack painted then undersealed. All 5 doors were replaced with new. Mechanically the engine was fitted with a new cylinder head, reconditioned injection pump and new cambelt kit, and the gearbox and transfer box were rebuilt by Ashcrofts. All new brakes and suspension were fitted, and it’s covered 1000 shakedown miles since.
Odometer reading now 165000 miles, and the V5 shows just 3 former keepers.
It’s absolutely stunning, and a real credit to the restorers. I don’t think you’ll find a better export-ready one on the market at the moment.
