motodrome offer another very special classic Mini -a low-mileage 1999/V Rover Mini 1.3 MPi John Cooper Limited Edition, but upgraded to full ‘Works S’ specification

Built to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Cooper’s victory in the Formula One World Championships 1959 & 1960, back in 1999 the LE 40 Editions were the most expensive Minis ever sold as standard from the factory.
Just 301 were built, are now highly sought after, and all were finished in Brooklands Green metallic with white roof, and full Grenadine Red leather, including the door cards and dash top,
They were also fitted with the sports pack arches, 13in alloys, aluminium turned dash etc.
This one, however, has been taken to the next level, not just because of the plethora of extras fitted, of which more below, but because it’s been fitted with the 90 BHP works S upgrade, with the cockpit plaque, signed certificate, invoice, and S Works badges etc.
90 bhp may not sound much by modern standards, but it transforms a Mini into something even more entertaining.
It’s been further mechanically upgraded with a quick shift kit, MiniSport sports suspension kit with Spax shocks and adjustable lower arms, and uprated brakes too.
As you can see from the pictures etc, it’s been fully loaded with extras –( however these are obviously reversible if required) including
Mark 1 bumper overrider bars
Additional spotlamps (2 fitted as standard)
Works rally-style headlamp stoneguards
New superlight wide alloys shod with Yokohamas (we have the original wheels)
Sport wing mirrors
Works rally style roofrack
Additional rear foglamp
Internally it has a lovely Moto-Lita California woodrim steering wheel (we have the original steering wheel )
Rear blind
And a superb, and powerful, Pioneer stereo with DAB capability, Pioneer amp, and Alpine speakers.
The low odometer reading of just 35000 miles is properly supported by a great history file including the original service book with details of 11 services, the original purchase invoice, supporting service and maintenance invoices from near new to date, old MOT’s back to 2003, and the Works S upgrade, as above, is amply supported by the documentation etc.
Last serviced May 2026 at 34420 miles by a well-known classic specialist, who carried out a stack of other remedial work at the same time.
It’ll be supplied with a fresh 12M MOT on sale, and will come with 6M warranty
Comes with 2 sets of keys and immobiliser fobs, and the full book pack
It looks great, sounds superb, goes very well, and is probably one of the nicest we’ve ever seen…
