Land Rover Defender 90 TD5 7 seater galvanised chassis for sale at motodrome

SPECIFICATION ETC

This one has the benefit of having been rebuilt onto a Richards galvanised chassis in 2018

Spec wise, it’s fitted with county roof with sunroof, alpine lights, sliding side windows and full headlining, Masai front lamp guards, LED lights inc headlights, black modular wheels shod with a matching set of 4 Cooper Discoverer AT3 tyres, snow cowl, XS sidesteps, rear light guards, rear step, rear mudflaps and adjustable towpack.

No chequerplate rash whatsoever – just how they’re supposed to look

Internally it’s fitted with a front centre seat and twin rear benches, making it a seven seater at a pinch, carpeted load area, detachable steering wheel, a modern Pioneer sound system with fold out screen, Bluetooth and USB port, and aluminium gearknobs. It’s also fitted with a Clifford Concept 650 alarm/immobiliser system linked to aftermarket central locking, category 1 with certificate.

Mechanically it’s fitted with a performance intercooler and centre exhaust box deletion pipe, and EGR blanking kit. Although there’s nothing in the history to confirm, it’s possible it’s also been fitted with a performance chip as it seems to perform in a far more sprightly fashion than the above mods would normally allow, in my experience.

It’s also fitted with Brembo brake discs and pads front and rear, so it stops as well as it goes.

MILEAGE, HISTORY ETC

Odometer reading just 70000 miles, and the V5 shows just 2 former owners.

The last owner purchased it in from a known specialist in  2016 when it was showing just over 60000 miles. By 2018, it was clear that the chassis was corroding to such an extent that it was best replaced with a new galvanised one, so a new Richards chassis was purchased and fitted (we have the supply invoice).

The last owner has looked after it well and serviced it religiously whilst he’s had it, and this is reflected in the bills we hold.

At 69463m in August 2021 it was treated to a full service, and the above Brembo brakes were fitted, and at 69327m in January 2021 it was treated to a new 3 piece clutch kit with new hydraulics.

Comes with MOT to August  2022 (no advisories). Also comes with our usual 6 months warranty on sale.

Defender TD5’s with low mileage are getting thin on the ground these days, and this one, with it’s galvanised chassis, must tick lots of boxes for a prospective new owner.

At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find  our usual 2 comprehensive videos – a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, with the engine shown starting and running too. These form part of the description.
