motodrome are pleased to offer this 2000/W Land Rover Defender 90 TUL HS FFR hard top 300TDi, otherwise known as a Wolf, finished in Nato IRR drab.

SPECIFICATION ETC
Fitted with the full ‘Remus’ upgrade including front roll cage extensions and acoustic matting.
However, this is one of the few Wolfs that were configured for the Royal Marines as the Winterised/Waterproof model, in order for it to both operate in sub-zero conditions, and as an amphibious assault vehicle.
The winterised spec means it’s fitted with a Webasto engine fluids heater (not tested), heated front windscreen, and heaters in the rear cabin, meaning it can operate and keep the driver and passengers warm down to -46 degrees.
The waterproof spec means it’s fitted with a ‘periscope’ snorkel, roof escape hatch, waterproofed electrical systems and instruments, and prepared with grease and graphite lubricant on practically every moving part. In training exercises the vehicles are operated in depths so that the driver’s head and shoulders are clear of the water. No other Land Rover can wade in as deep water as these.
This one is in 3 seater spec, with the usual 2 seats in the front, and a radio operators jump seat in the rear. It still has it’s rifle racks, fire extinguisher, some remnants of the original radio fit including hand throttle, and external fittings specific to the W/W version including fuel filler cover and roof bars. .
In otherwise-standard Wolf military-spec, its fitted with: the correct 300tdi engine, power steering, matching set of 5 Goodyear G90 tyres on Wolf rims, insulated fibreglass hardtop, steering guard, front light guards, military front bumper, rear bumperettes, NATO towhook, and the correct military spec roll bar assembly.
MILEAGE ETC
Odometer reading just 43000kms ie 27000 miles, which, whilst we can’t warrant it as the MOD have a policy of not warranting the mileage on cast vehicles, is probably correct as the W/W versions don’t get used much.
The last owner bought it directly from MOD disposal and registered it in 2020, and is the only keeper on the V5.
We have it’s in-service history as PF 90 AA, and it served with 30 Commando Information Exploitation Group. .
Comes with MOT to July 2023, with no advisories.
No VAT either chargeable or recoverable on this one, and all properly UK registered.
It drives exactly as a Wolf should, with plenty of power and a feeling of unbreakable strength that you don’t get with civilian ones – the chassis and running gear are far tougher on a Wolf.
At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
We also have a Penman trailer in stock (see here) that would pair very well with this Wolf.
