motodrome offer this rare original 1999 Defender 90 TD5 Heritage Edition station wagon 7 seater, finished in Atlantic Green with white roof and the correct Lincoln Green full leather interior.
Not to be confused with the 2015 version, the 1999 Heritage edition was marketed by Land Rover in either 90 or 110 TD5 station wagon formats, and was available in just 2 colours, to reflect the original 1948 Series One models – either Bronze Green or Atlantic Green.
Just 189 90’s were built to Heritage specification
The Heritage spec included, externally: body coloured headlamp surrounds, wheelarches, mirror housings, and, for the 90 only, body coloured alloys too – shod with a matching set of 4 BF Goodrich AT tyres.. Also a special silver grille, door and bonnet hinges, sidesteps and enamel badge on the rear.
Internally they had special ivory-coloured instruments including a rev counter, and the full Lincoln Green leather seat facings, and aluminium gear knob.
This one was further specified from new with optional air conditioning, ABS and traction control.
Also fitted with alarm/immobiliser, rear step, mudflaps all round, and adjustable towpack
This one is in otherwise standard specification, with the exception of a more modern stereo unit.
Odometer reading 127000 miles, and the last owner has had it since 2010.
We have 2 sets of keys and fobs
Comes with MOT to November 2023, and 6 months warranty on sale.
Despite it’s rarity, it’s a Defender that has been used, not cosseted and kept in a museum, so there are one or two battle scars and signs of ageing. It’s also never been the subject of a full restoration, and hence the paintwork is original. Some would say it’s ‘nicely patinated’
It’s a rare opportunity to acquire an original unmessed-with example of a limited-edition Defender.
At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
