NOW RESERVED FOR NEW OWNER
Motodrome are pleased to offer this 1955 ex-military Land Rover Series 1 86in 2.0 windowed hard top, painted as an RAF Police example.

An original UK car, this one was in military service as 44 BP 70 before being civilian registered in 1976
Fitted with a period-correct 2.0 petrol motor, a matching set of decent 600×16 tyres, wing mirrors, bonnet-mounted spare, military-spec lights, bridge plate, aerial mount, blue roof light, ‘cat flap’ rear door, and NATO towhook.
Inside it has 3 seats across the front, a bench seat in the back, and it’s original type sprung steering wheel
Odometer reading 58000 miles, and it’s military-spec 571-prefix motor is likely to be the original as it’s very close number wise to the chassis number.
Whilst it is, of course, RFL and MOT exempt, the previous owner has voluntarily had it tested and hence it has a current MOT until July 2024
It potters along quite happily – you won’t break any speed records though!
Scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
