NOW RESERVED FOR NEW OWNER
Motodrome are very pleased to offer this utterly gorgeous 1977 left hand drive Alfa Romeo Giulia Nuova Super, finished in Rosso Corsa with black interior.

DETAILS
This type 105 has been built as a racing evocation, having been de-bumpered, had one of the inner headlamps removed for added cold air feed (and to look cool), fitted with lovely GTA-style wheels (shod with a matching set of Avon ZT5 tyres, and with Quadrifoglio emblems. It looks like one of the TI Super models that were campaigned in the ETCC in the 60’s and 70’s.
Supplied initially to Athens in Greece, we’re told it had only 2 owners there before coming to the UK in 2016. Whilst still in Greece, the 2nd owner, a Mr Papamikroulis, had the original 1300cc engine removed and replaced with a 1779cc GTV unit with twin Weber carbs, giving it much more go. At this point the Alfa had covered 90000km (it’s now on 102000kms) and further work included removal of all running gear for refurbishment, and new ZF steering rack.
On arrival in the UK, the then owners carried out the following work:
- Bodywork stripped to bare metal, all glass removed, and fully resprayed in Alfa Rosso Corsa. We’re told the body panels and floors are original.
- Carburettors stripped and rebuilt
- New interior including retrimmed seats, door cards and dash in correct black leatherette, and new headlining
- New 15in GTA-style wheels and tyres
- DAB stereo fitted
They then sold it in 2019 to a committed Alfa enthusiast, who’s kept it in beautiful condition and added a gorgeous restored Helebore steering wheel and an Alfaholics wrapped stainless manifold with custom stainless exhaust and a genuine Abarth rear box, plus lots of other bits including new Koni front shocks. He’s also kept it religiously serviced regardless of miles.
I’ve never seen such a well-sorted, beautiful condition Giulia. Compared to their UK contemporaries, these were seriously advanced for their time, with twin cam engines, 5 speed gearboxes, and disc brakes all round. They make fast Fords look positively pedestrian, and this example knocks them into a cocked hat. It’s my current favourite of all our stock, and I think a new owner will be proud to have it in their garage.
Needless to say, it drives absolutely superbly, and a new owner will have a lot of fun with it, although said new owner may have to prise it out of my cold, dead hands first..
At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find our usual two videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
