motodrome offer this superb looking, and driving 1969 example of the well-loved Morris Minor, this one a genuine factory Convertible (or ‘Tourer’ to give it it’s proper name) finished in Old English White with red hood and interior
This one had a comprehensive body restoration to the condition you see here in 2017 and is now ready for further adventures.
It seems to be in standard, matching number factory specification with the exception of one or two modern upgrades as follows:
- inertia reel front seat belts
- Electronic ignition
- Electric washers
- Oil pressure and temperature gauges
- Unleaded cylinder head
Odometer reading 51000 miles, and it’s had one owner since 2017. In 2020 it underwent an engine rebuild including new main bearings and a new unleaded cylinder head, and has done around 3000 miles since.
We have a comprehensive stack of bills from the last owner, plus heritage certificate, an original handbook and it comes with a stash of spares too.
Minors make excellent practical classics – they’re simple, so easy to drive, and very versatile, and this Tourer, as a restored example, certainly turns heads, especially with the roof down.
Being RFL, MOT and ULEZ exempt, it makes a great city car too.
Sroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll find our usual two videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, both of this particular example.
