motodrome are pleased to offer this utterly charming 1967 Morris Mini Minor Mark One Super DeLuxe 850 Automatic, finished in Maroon with white roof and Satin Beige trim
A genuine late Mark One built in late 1966, this one is as per the Heritage Certificate that we hold for the car in terms of colour and numbers etc, with the exception of the white roof which we think was added when the vehicle was restored.
Full ‘Super De Luxe’ spec including full carpeting, chrome trim, working Smiths heater etc, plus a period-style wooden dashboard
Odometer reading 28000 miles, and the V5c shows just 4 previous keepers.
The previous owner tells us that the bodywork, engine, gearbox, subframes and suspension have all been rebuilt or refurbished between 2013 and 2018.
When this arrived with us, it went straight into our workshop, as whilst with the last owner, it had been garaged and had seen very little use. We’ve recommissioned it including a new starter motor, fuel pump, rebuilt carb etc, and a good tune, and it now starts, runs, and drives as it should.
The automatic gearbox makes it an absolute doddle to drive, especially in town. Alternatively it can be used as basically a clutchless manual, which liberates as much power as a standard-tune 850cc A-series can manage, but makes it very entertaining to drive.
At the very bottom of the page, you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions.
